About The Position

As a Program Analyst I (Data Analytics Consultant) within the Human Resources Department, this position provides foundational data analysis and reporting support to assist HR leadership and program areas in operational decision-making. This role focuses on gathering, validating, organizing, and analyzing workforce data to support established HR initiatives and reporting requirements. This position works under the guidance of senior analytics staff and contributes to the overall HR Data Analytics function by ensuring data accuracy, producing routine and ad hoc reports, and identifying basic trends or inconsistencies within workforce data. This role is ideal for a developing HR data professional seeking to build technical expertise in HR analytics, reporting, and data management within a large public-sector organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years progressively responsible experience related to the area of assignment OR An equivalent combination of training and experience

Nice To Haves

  • Proven Experience applying data analysis principles, reporting methods, and information management practices preferably in an HR setting
  • Experience extracting, compiling, organizing, and validating data from an information system (e.g., HRIS or other enterprise system)
  • Experience preparing reports or visual summaries (e.g., charts, basic dashboards, data tables) to communicate information effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Extract, compile, clean, and validate HR data from the Integrated HR-Payroll System (FIORI) and other HR information systems.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc workforce reports to support HR operations, compliance requirements, and management inquiries.
  • Assist in maintaining standard HR metrics and performance indicators as established by senior analytics staff.
  • Conduct routine audits of designated HR initiatives and workforce data sets by reviewing system entries, validating data accuracy, identifying discrepancies or missing information, and coordinating corrections with appropriate HR program staff.
  • Develop basic charts, summaries, and visual reports to communicate workforce information clearly and accurately.
  • Respond to routine data requests from HR program areas and management.
  • Document data definitions, report logic, and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and sustainability.
  • Assist in testing and validating system updates or report modifications affecting HR data.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline reporting processes.
  • Participate in cross-training and professional development to expand knowledge of HR data systems and analytics tools.
