About The Position

Corpay is currently looking to hire a Data Engineer within our Corporate Payments division. This position falls under our Corpay line of business on our Data and Analytics team. In this role, you will support mission critical business applications related to data management that include managing data pipelines, inbound and outbound data flows, workflows, and other tools. This is a critical role that supports both revenue and sales and requires someone who can excel as an individual contributor, has great customer-relationship skills, deep technical skills, and a passion for understanding our business and continuous improvement mentality.

As a Data Engineer you will be expected to work in an office environment or hybrid work role. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

You will be successful in this role if:
You are a business-oriented data technologist who can both lead technical and non-technical initiatives, get down into the weeds of the technology when necessary, and can communicate and collaborate well with business stakeholders to achieve specific business goals.

You have a diverse technical background where you have worked with a wide variety of technologies and across technology stacks and you are comfortable adapting to work with technologies and platforms that may be new to you.
You have experience in enterprise data modeling, data synchronization, data and technology architecture.
You have experience working directly with and reporting to business stakeholders to track and enable business value.
You can regularly articulate recommendations, risks, options, and progress to stakeholders in written deck formats and formal verbal delivery settings.

Requirements

• College education (BS Computer Science or Information Systems) or equivalent experience required. Higher education in analysis, information systems, computer science, data or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience with current data and software technologies such as: SQL Server, Master Data Management (MDM), Data Matching, Power Automate, AWS RDS, Glue and Quicksight, Azure Data Factory, .NET, C#, Python, Azure and Machine Learning
• Experience interfacing and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Minimum of 8 years database (SQL Server preferred) experience in a fintech, payment or technical environment.
• Advanced computer skills experience with Microsoft Excel and macros and knowledge of data integrity and architecture required.

• Mathematics — Knowledge of arithmetic, financial math, statistics, and their applications.
• Technology— Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications and data driven tools. Ability to learn Corpay’s systems and software. Use of proprietary database products, CRM software (Salesforce), ticketing software (Zendesk), fax and phone systems.

Responsibilities

• Supporting mission critical business applications related to data management that include data pipelines, inbound and outbound data flows, workflows, and other tools.
• Hands-on support of prospect matching front-end excel templates that synthesize various data inputs with complex, nested formulas to allow visualization of Corpay value for Customers as well as backend matching processes that contribute to the overall results.
• Regular cross-team collaboration to gather requirements and prioritize work related revenue optimization, reporting, and/or MDM initiatives.
• Assisting in configuring and implementing data structures for key business domains that will optimize card penetration and revenue.
• Contribute to the maintenance of and communicate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) / performance metrics on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis to provide leadership with insights and progress.
