About The Position

Data and Visualization Engineer The Opportunity: Ever-expanding technology like IoT, machine learning, and artificial intelligence means that there’s more structured and unstructured data available today than ever before. We need an experienced data and visualization engineer like you to help our clients find answers in their data to impact important missions—from fraud detection to cancer research to national intelligence. As a data and visualization engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll help build advanced technology solutions and implement engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You’ll deploy and develop pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful. Here, you’ll work with and guide a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. You’ll use your experience in analytical exploration and data examination while you manage the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients. Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Data analysis, such as recognizing and investigating data quality and various data types, including discerning structure and relationships within data
• 5+ years of experience with Data visualization, such as creating charts with basic design principles
• 5+ years of experience with Data pipeline engineering, such as executing data transformation stages
• 4+ years of experience with programming languages, including Python, R, or SQL, for data manipulation and analysis
• Experience working in Foundry, including building or maintaining data pipelines with Code Repository
• Knowledge of database-driven application development and design
• Ability to develop and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations in Foundry, Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik to communicate data insights to business stakeholders
• Ability to collaborate with business analysts or users to clarify requirements, work closely with different business groups to comprehend and respond to their reporting and dashboard needs, be self-motivated, and pay strict attention to detail
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Data Science, or Computer Engineering

• Experience with analytics and data science techniques, including AI/ML
• Experience with DoD clients
• Experience with Army data systems
• Knowledge of front-end design and data visualization techniques and best practices
• Knowledge of Military terms
• Ability to learn technical concepts quickly and communicate with multiple functional groups
• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Possession of strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Master’s degree in CS, Data Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
