This role analyzes large, complex datasets to support enterprise-level operations for a federal agency. The Data Architect works closely with program leadership, financial analysts, system architects, and operations teams to support regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and performance measurement of the program.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 8 years of data architecture experience
  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Possess the ability to pass the Public Trust investigation and maintain eligibility, including US citizenship

Nice To Haves

  • Possess prior experience supporting the US Department of Education Federal Student Aid (FSA)

Responsibilities

  • Design enterprise data models, design and implement integration strategies, and present data migration processes
  • Develop dashboards and recurring performance reports for executive leadership and program managers
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to support policy changes, audits, and operational improvements
  • Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across federal systems
  • Design and maintain interactive dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Develop KPIs aligned to debt lifecycle performance
  • Support implementation of data governance standards and metadata documentation
  • Assist with data quality monitoring and remediation efforts
  • Ensure reporting processes comply with federal data privacy and security requirements (FERPA, Privacy Act)
  • Prepare datasets and documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Support reporting requirements aligned with federal financial management regulations.
  • Assist with responding to data calls from oversight entities
  • Contribute to DevSecOps reporting automation and data pipeline improvements
