MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Data Center Operations Manager, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of fast-paced customer. You will play a crucial role in delivering highly available, resilient, and reliable IT services. Familiarity with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) Solutions, Data Center Operations, Enterprise IT, Knowledge of SWaP-C and PSC concepts, Understanding of air flow requirements in a Data Center, ability to communicate PSC requirements to customer facility engineers, Knowledge of NEMA and IEC320 standards, Familiarity with Small Form-factor Pluggable types including compatibility with various fiber standards, Familiarity with SM and OM specifications, Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to develop Bill of Materials to meet requirements, familiarity with various compute, storage, and network platforms (Dell, HP, Cisco, etc), Ability to rack and install equipment (rails, compute, storage, and network chassis), proficient at cable management in various settings, ability to calculate cooling needs, ability to calculate power needs.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
  • Experience: 5+ years of related experience
  • Technical skills: Strong technical background with knowledge of Data Center Infrastructure Management, network management, and hardware maintenance.
  • Security clearance level: TS/SCI
  • US citizenship required
  • Role requirements: Security+ certification required

Nice To Haves

  • CDCMP, CCNP, and ITIL certifications preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations maintaining performance and managing continuity across four networks in multiple locations.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure the health, security, and environmental components critical to operations.
  • Drive efficient management and scaling of systems and infrastructure.
  • Utilize observability tools and domain expertise to provide reliable and resilient services.
