About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technician (Level 2) to support critical data center operations. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring systems, deploying and maintaining hardware, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring all equipment is installed and operated according to established standards and safety protocols. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on data center experience who enjoys working with server hardware, cabling, and infrastructure in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on data center experience, including break/fix, deployments, and troubleshooting
  • 2–4 years of experience working with computer hardware, servers, and components

  • Ability to follow detailed technical procedures and safety standards

Responsibilities

  • Monitor systems and equipment for failures, errors, or performance issues
  • Perform hardware installation, deployment, and decommissioning, including rack-and-stack, cabling, and component replacements
  • Prepare, stage, set up, and execute equipment startups and shutdowns following documented procedures and checklists
  • Conduct post-installation quality checks to verify grounding, labeling, cabling, and safety compliance
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and infrastructure issues, quickly identifying root causes and implementing fixes
  • Replace faulty components and perform basic hardware refreshes (e.g., memory upgrades, rebuilds)
  • Respond to system or program error messages and take corrective action as needed
  • Assist with testing and debugging of new systems or programs in coordination with technical teams
  • Use spreadsheets and other software tools to track data, load information, and generate reports
  • Document work performed and escalate incidents or issues according to established procedures
