About The Position

The client is building a global consumer neobank, combining banking, payments, and crypto into a single platform. The focus is on emerging markets, enabling users worldwide to move money seamlessly within the ecosystem. The company is built by a small group of highly experienced operators and engineers who have previously built products used by hundreds of millions of users and generated billions in revenue. The team operates with a high level of ownership, minimal hierarchy, and a strong focus on execution. We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build and own the data platform and infrastructure. This role involves designing systems that power transaction processing, analytics, reporting, and real -time insights across a global financial product. You will work on high -integrity financial data systems where correctness, auditability, and consistency are critical.

Requirements

5+ years of experience building and shipping data pipelines and platforms
Strong experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT, or event -driven systems
Experience working with backend systems and databases such as PostgreSQL and Redis
Familiarity with cloud environments, preferably AWS
Python (FastAPI)
AWS (Lambda, Kinesis)
PostgreSQL
Redis

Experience in financial technology or fintech systems
Full -stack engineering capabilities and ability to work across different layers of the stack

Responsibilities

Design and build scalable data platforms and infrastructure
Develop systems for transaction processing, analytics, and reporting
Build and maintain data pipelines for real -time and batch processing
Work closely with backend systems to ensure accurate data capture and transformation
Design data models and pipeline architecture from the ground up
Ensure data consistency, reliability, and auditability across systems
Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate data workflows with backend services
Build and scale core data infrastructure
Define architecture and data models from first principles
Work on mission -critical systems handling financial data
Contribute to the overall technical direction of the platform
