About The Position

As a Data Engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll use your skills and experience to help build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You’ll develop and deploy the pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful. Here, you’ll work with a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. You’ll sharpen your skills in analytical exploration and data examination while you support the assessment, design, development, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with designing scalable data systems and infrastructure
  • Experience with source control and collaboration sof tware, including Git or Atlassian tools
  • Experience with ETL operations, including on-premises or Cloud infrastructure
  • Experience with writing sof tware in programming languages, including Python
  • Knowledge of relational and non-relational database technologies, including SQL or GraphQL
  • Knowledge of automation and scripting on Linux or Windows operating systems
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience deploying analytics work load s on a platform as a service ( PaaS ) and sof tware as a service ( SaaS ) , including AWS EMR, Redshift, SageMaker, Databricks, SQL Data Warehouse, or Machine Learning service
  • Experience with distributed or parallel programming frameworks, including Apache Spark or NVIDIA CUDA
  • Experience with infrastructure as code frameworks and services, including Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Experience developing and presenting complex technical information for technical and non-technical audiences and senior leaders
  • Experience developing and deploying large-scale batch and stream analytics pipelines
  • Experience working with integrated groups comprised of customer success managers, infrastructure engineers, data scientists, and sof tware engineers
  • Experience with DoD information systems
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Sof tware Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
  • Cloud Development Certification , including AWS Solutions Architect, or Azure Certification
  • Information Security Certification , including Security+ or CISSP Certification
  • Clearance : Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; Secret clearance required.
