Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, and big data platforms
  • Experience with SQL/Postgres/MySQL
  • Experience with Azure cloud platform
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and ML Ops workflows
  • Knowledge of data modeling, schema design, and metadata management
  • Expertise in Big Data technologies (PySpark/Scala Spark, Hive/Hadoop/NoSQL) and data warehousing
  • Solid proficiency in Python, Scala
  • Demonstrated ability to implement data security, governance, and compliance standards
  • Proven skilled in building and automating data pipelines for batch and real-time processing

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize database architecture, data models, and schemas
  • Implement and maintain data pipelines (ETL/ELT) for large-scale data processing
  • Develop and manage data solutions on PaaS and cloud ecosystems
  • Ensure scalability, security, and performance of data platforms
  • Perform needs assessments and enforce strict data quality standards
  • Support compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements
  • Build and deploy optimized solutions using Big Data technologies
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists and Analysts to deliver AI/ML-driven solutions
  • Lead projects independently, manage technical deliveries, and mentor junior engineers
  • Drive knowledge-sharing sessions and capability development within the team
  • Manage relationships with software/hardware vendors for architectural impact
  • Work closely with enterprise teams for requirement gathering and solution design
