Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in engineering leadership, managing Data Engineering teams.
  • Strong background in data engineering, distributed systems, and large-scale data processing technologies.
  • Proven experience in building shared tooling and infrastructure for data engineering.
  • Strategic thinker advocating for investments in long-term architectural value.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to build consensus.
  • Strong understanding of the business value of data within the commerce domain.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a diverse, high-performing team of data and software engineers.
  • Develop a clear, impact-oriented roadmap aligned with core data initiatives and company objectives.
  • Oversee the design and scaling of robust data products supporting analytics and machine learning.
  • Lead efforts to build reusable data frameworks and development tooling to enhance productivity.
  • Define and promote best practices for data modeling and pipeline architecture.
  • Act as a technical partner to the central Data Platform team, ensuring it meets the team's needs.
  • Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
