U.S. Bank is seeking a Data Governance Platform Engineer with experience in Databricks, Collibra, Snowflake who will contribute toward the success of our technology initiative developing scalable data governance solutions for the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Two to four years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in Linux and distributed systems
  • Proficient with Java, Shell scripting, Python, Spark languages.
  • Experience in data governance and technologies such as Databricks Unity Catalog, Snowflake and Collibra.
  • Good understanding in agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve system failures.
  • Experience in cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud or AWS.
  • Good communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in addressing PCI and PII data requirements.
  • Working knowledge and hands-on experience in Data Lake Architectures, such as Databricks and Snowflake platforms.
  • Good understanding of banking, operations, risk, and compliance with technical fluency in business and regulatory acumen.

Responsibilities

  • Manage data governance capabilities, such as metadata, data lineage, data quality, etc. for various workloads within a cloud and across cloud environments.
  • Develop with guidance and implement scalable data governance solutions for data pipelines ingestion, transformation, and storage to ensure meeting various data governance requirements.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to networks, job failures, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Provide on-call support and collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Work across functional teams and business lines to support data governance solutions in the cloud.
