Position Summary: The Data Integrity Technician plays a critical operational role within the Compliance Department by ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of GT Independence’s data across all systems and markets. This position is responsible for daily data validation tasks, correcting inaccuracies, monitoring system outputs, and identifying anomalies that may indicate compliance risks or operational issues. Working closely with the Director of Quality Assurance, this role supports GT Independence’s commitment to accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and high-quality service delivery.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working with large data sets, reporting systems, or quality assurance preferred.
  • Experience reviewing, correcting, or validating data in a high-volume environment.
  • Expertise in Excel (including complex formulas) working with large datasets and business systems.
  • Effective problem-solving/analysis skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to Power BI, Power Automate, SQL, or data tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine data integrity checks across GTI systems
  • Identify missing fields, inconsistencies, duplicate records, invalid logic, or other data anomalies.
  • Correct data errors in accordance with established protocols.
  • Log findings, corrections, and trends in a structured and traceable format.
  • Monitor data for recurring issues or patterns that indicate systemic problems.
  • Provide detailed summaries of errors for root-cause analysis.
  • Assist in testing new data rules, validation logic, and system changes to ensure integrity.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all data integrity tasks completed, including correction logs and issue tracking.
  • Support the creation of data quality reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Communicate findings clearly and escalate issues promptly.
  • Work with Compliance, Operations, IT, and QA teams to address data-related issues.
  • Participate in audits by providing requested data, correction evidence, and historical logs.
  • Assist with special projects requiring large data reviews, reconciliations, or cleanup activities.
  • Recommend enhancements to data validation workflows, checklists, and system rules.
  • Suggest opportunities for automation to reduce manual work and prevent future errors.
  • Participate in pilot testing of automation or new validation methods.
