About The Position

Extension Program Reporting: The Data Management Analyst I prepares NIFA reports, as well as state-, regional-, county-, and client satisfaction-specific reporting. This includes creating programmatically focused infographics and reports, gathering information from Extension Faculty who are directly involved in the work. Coordinates with the Management Analyst to schedule and facilitate progress report meetings. Works in close collaboration with the Content & Communication Manager to compile analyzed data and craft narratives showcasing the achievements and progress of Extension programs, ensuring alignment with the requirements of NIFA and County Partners, as well as organizational requirements and stakeholder expectations. Monitor usage of the Extension Workload and remind faculty of reporting periods. Request required items for reporting, including patents, licensing and expenditure data. Collaboration and Coordination: Coordinate and collaborate with the Extension Dean, Extension Program Leaders, IFAS Research, and FAMU representatives to support the development of an executive summary, merit review, and stakeholder description. The Data Management Analyst I also partners with all members of the A&BI team, demonstrating collegial and professional behavior (both verbal and non-verbal) to ensure that communications around programmatic updates are clear, aligned, and effectively support strategic communication goals. Extension Reporting Documentation: In close collaboration with the Systems Admin/Programmer III and other members of the A&BI team, the Data Management Analyst I is responsible for creating and maintaining documentation around Extension reporting. Invoice Processing: Incumbent will be responsible for creating, sending, following up and processing journal entries for the department’s FSEA account. Incumbent performs all duties as required to meet unit goals and objectives, including special projects that arise from strategic priorities or emerging opportunities across the A&BI initiatives. This ensures continuity of operations and fosters a collaborative environment in line with the organization’s mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization.

  • Academic background and experience in a selected area of research or other applicable academic field, as evidenced by an advanced degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working in a scientific research and/or extension environment.
