About The Position
The Data Processing Clerk II performs intermediate-level coding and data processing tasks, including classification of narrative industry and occupation data using established coding systems such as NAICS and SOC.
Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years experience in data processing or occupational coding.
- Familiarity with hierarchical classification systems preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
- Analyze narrative job descriptions and industry entries.
- Apply CDC-specified coding systems accurately.
- Resolve moderately complex classification issues.
- Document coding rationale when required.
- Assist in peer review and support quality initiatives.
- Meet accuracy and productivity performance standards.
