Requirements

Must be a Master’s or PhD student in Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics or a related field.
Expected graduation date of Dec 2026 or later.
Available for full-time work (40 hours per week) in Summer 2026 and part-time work (20 hours per week) in the Fall 2026 semester.
Proficiency in Python or R, and strong SQL skills.
Solid understanding of data science workflows and machine learning algorithms.
Familiarity with cloud environments (GCP preferred) and an interest in Large Language Model (LLM) applications.
Ability to translate complex technical findings into business insights for non-technical stakeholders.
High attention to detail and a self-motivated drive to learn.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred.
Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred.
Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).
If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.

Responsibilities

Model Development: Build and deploy machine learning models to identify actionable business insights.
Advanced Analytics: Conduct predictive data mining and assist in the automation of complex work streams.
Tech Stack Integration: Gain hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, and Gemini AI.
Professional Presence: Refine your communication skills through bi-weekly presentations to the Data Science department.
Change Management: Support the team in training and automation initiatives to drive business value.
