About The Position

Data Scientist (Associate or Experienced) Company: The Boeing Company Airplane Systems Integration is looking for a Data Scientist (Associate or Experienced) to join our team in Everett, WA. Position Overview: The Data Scientist will develop and build next generation Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) products and services. This position will work effectively with cross-functional teams and technical leads to determining, defining, and deploying analytics solutions to meet business goals. Primary Responsibilities: You will be responsible for extracting valuable insights from complex datasets, identifying patterns, trends, and anomalies, and developing predictive models to support strategic decision-making across the organization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions that address business challenges and drive continuous improvement. Seeking someone with strong enthusiasm to learn new technologies and expand related skillsets. Analyze large-scale time-series and tabular datasets to extract meaningful insights and identify actionable opportunities. Develop and implement advanced statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and forecasting techniques to predict future trends and outcomes. Design and execute experiments to evaluate model performance, validate hypotheses, and optimize algorithms for accuracy and efficiency. Collaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements, prioritize analytical projects, and translate findings into actionable recommendations. Build and maintain robust data pipelines and automated workflows to streamline data collection, preprocessing, and analysis processes. Perform necessary data preparation and enhancements to models Evaluate technologies, assist in identifying capabilities gaps, develop and teach best practices and technology standards, and work alongside the rest of the global data scientists and technical leads in Analytics organization Communicate complex technical concepts and analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders through clear and concise presentations, reports, and visualizations. Stay abreast of the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and statistical techniques, and evaluate their potential impact on business objectives. Contribute to technical documentation. Work Authorization: This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Everett, WA location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience working with projects, teams, and/or leaders in the analytics and/or data science space
  • 1+ years of experience researching and applying large language and generative AI models
  • 1+ years of experience with various machine learning methods such as regression, clustering, classification, decision trees, natural language processing, ensemble methods, support vector machines (SVM), deep learning, reinforcement learning, etc.
  • 1+ years of experience in designing and implementing Natural Language Processing (NLP) models using machine learning techniques including neural networks, deep learning and transformer architectures

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Math etc.
  • Preferably experiences in Data processing and database programming skills, such as SQL or NoSQL
  • Strong understanding of statistical concepts, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, time-series modeling, and machine learning algorithms.
  • Solid understanding of database systems, SQL, and data manipulation techniques for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data.
  • Experience supporting an AI or ML development team
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and experience with libraries/frameworks such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
  • Level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
