Join our growing team supporting customer missions as a Data Scientist in Herndon, VA or DC. Responsibilities We are seeking a highly versatile data science/data engineer to support a diverse data integration team responsible for establishing common data governance across a large government customer. This role is key to ensuring data consistency and enabling various data providers to deliver high-quality data. Successful candidates require a strong foundation in both data engineering and data science principles. This job requires the applicant to be successful working individually and with a small group.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly required to start
  • Python (5+ years)
  • Experience with data visualization and manipulation, including large datasets.
  • Experience manipulating and managing data in a PostgreSQL (or similar) database (3+ years)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience summarizing data in dashboard tools such as tableau, grafana, or custom-built applications
  • Experience with data management tools such as Apache Airflow or NiFi
  • Experience with deploying and managing data workflows in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with GIS tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, etc
  • SQL, SPARQL or other relational database query language
