About The Position

IAMUS Consulting is seeking a Data Scientist to support mission-critical data analysis and analytic development efforts within the Department of War/Intelligence Community. In this role, you’ll work with large-scale, complex data sets to ensure data is accurate, structured, and ready to drive meaningful insights. You’ll play a key role in data validation, transformation, and analytics, helping mission stakeholders rely on trusted data to make critical decisions. Requirements

  • Active TS clearance (SCI eligible)
  • 9+ years of relevant experience in data science, data engineering, analytics, or related field
  • Bchelor’s degree in a technical field (or additional experience in lieu of degree)
  • Strong experience with Python (data manipulation, scripting, analytics)
  • Experience working with SQL databases (Postgres preferred)
  • Experience with data extraction, transformation, and preparation (ETL/ELT)
  • Familiarity with data formats such as JSON, XML, and others
  • Experience defining and managing data schemas and normalization standards
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work through complex data challenges
  • Willingness to obtain DoD IAT II certification (if not already held)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting cyber or network security operations
  • Experience with statistical analysis, data profiling, or data validation techniques
  • Familiarity with command-line tools and shell environments
  • Experience with Java and Maven
  • Experience deploying models or services via APIs, Docker, or Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs
  • Experience working in Agile environments
  • Strong communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain data transformations and analytic workflows
  • Perform data quality, validation, and conformance analysis across diverse data sources
  • Design and enforce data schemas and normalization standards (JSON, SQL, XSD, ECS)
  • Support analytic efforts by preparing and structuring mission-critical datasets
  • Identify patterns, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improving data usability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data quality and pipeline issues
  • Work independently and collaboratively to meet mission objectives
  • Contribute to improving overall data reliability and analytic effectiveness
