About The Position

Clarke is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Visualization & Analytics Intern (On-site: St. Charles, IL ) to support the development of interactive dashboards, data visualizations, and analytical tools. This role offers hands-on experience working with real-world datasets, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. WORK SCHEDULE AND PAY Location: On-site in St. Charles, IL Duration: Up to 10 months (1500 hours) Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday (40 hours/week) Pay Rate: $18/hour ABOUT CLARKE Clarke is a privately held public health, global environmental products and services company. Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Biophysics, Biotechnology, Data Science, or a related field
• Experience with Python and/or R for data analysis and scripting
• Foundational understanding of data visualization principles
• Interest in API development and data integration concepts
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to tools such as Power BI, R Shiny, or similar (preferred)
• Basic knowledge of statistical methods (e.g. linear regression, multivariate analysis)

Responsibilities

• Transform existing datasets into interactive dashboards and visual analytics tools
• Support development and maintenance of dashboards using Power BI and similar platforms
• Clean, organize, and validate datasets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability
• Assist in developing and testing of APIs that connect data systems to visualization tools
• Perform basic statistical analysis and exploratory data analysis (EDA) under guidance
• Help automate data workflows and recurring reporting processes
• Document data sources, workflows, dashboards, and analytical methodologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and enhance usability
