Requirements

3+ years of Database Administrator experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL Database and SQL Managed Instance as well as Oracle or DB2 for z/OS.
Solid experience working in Microsoft Azure with Certifications.
Solid working experience with Service Now.
Strong communication skills at all levels.
Ability to collaborate closely with operations and IT teams both onsite and offshore.
Strong understanding of database performance tuning techniques.
Knowledge of backup and recovery processes for databases.
Ability to diagnose and resolve database issues effectively.
Familiarity with database security best practices.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Agile Methodologies: Knowledge of concept and principles of agile methodology; ability to apply appropriate agile approaches in the processes of software development and delivery.

Responsibilities

Administer and maintain database systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Monitor database performance and execute tuning strategies to improve efficiency.
Design, implement, and manage database backup and recovery processes.
Collaborate with development and operational teams to address database-related needs.
Troubleshoot and resolve database issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Configure and optimize databases in an Azure Infrastructure.
Develop and enforce database security protocols to protect sensitive data.
Provide technical guidance and support for database-related projects.
Document database configurations, procedures, and standards for future reference.
