About The Position

As a Database Administrator you will ensure the database environment is running efficiently on a day to day basis. You will also address database issues, strives for continuous improvement, and learns and implements new technologies. Starting base pay for this role is between $100,000 and $122,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, training, location, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role will be eligible for a bonus as well as competitive medical, dental, and vision benefits, wellness reimbursement, life insurance, and a 401(k) with company match. We offer vacation and sick leave benefits (under a flexible time off policy in most states).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Technology, Database Management, or another related field
  • 3+ years’ experience working as a Microsoft SQL Server DBA
  • Experience running query analysis, performance tuning, and maintenance routines
  • Experience with creating and maintaining stored procedures
  • Experience with database clustering (FCI or Always On Availability Groups)
  • Familiar with basic Windows administration
  • PowerShell or Python experience is required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a cloud or virtual environment is a plus but not required
  • Coding experience is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Maintains day-to-day data administration of SQL server in a clustered environment.
  • Documents complex installation, configuration, and optimization procedures so they can be automated.
  • Actions tickets from end users, answers questions, and promptly addresses issues that arises.
  • Takes proactive measures to monitor, trend, and tune SQL databases.
  • Ensures databases are backed up and can be recovered.
  • Drives initiatives to automate and innovate processes.
  • Other duties as needed to support Data Architects and Developers.
