About The Position

Databricks Data Engineer The Opportunity As a Databricks data engineer, you’ll use your skills to help implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You’ll support the development and deployment of modern data pipelines and platforms that transform raw data into meaningful, actionable insights. You’ll work with a multi-disciplinary team of data engineers, analysts, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. In this role, you’ll grow your technical skills while supporting the design, build, and maintenance of scalable data platforms leveraging Databricks and cloud-native technologies. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with data engineering concepts and delivery in academic or professional environments
  • 3+ years of experience working with Databricks, Apache Spark, or distributed data processing frameworks
  • 3+ years of experience working with Python and PySpark development
  • 3+ years of experience with SQL and working with structured and semi-structured data
  • Experience with data pipelines, workflow orchestration, or process automation
  • Experience working in cloud environments, including Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Experience supporting data architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, or data marts
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced, ambiguous, and ever-changing environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in Enterprise IT, or 8+ years of experience in Enterprise IT in lieu of a degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Databricks platform capabilities, including Unity Catalog and MLflow
  • Experience implementing Lakehouse architectures and Medallion data patterns, including Bronze, Silver, or Gold
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, including Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Experience designing cloud-based data architectures or deploying production-grade machine learning workloads
  • Experience with big data ecosystem tools, including Delta Live Tables, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Kafka, or similar
  • Experience with Spark SQL and performance tuning
  • Experience with data governance, data cataloging, or data quality management practices
  • Experience with data visualization tools, including Power BI or SSRS
  • Databricks certification
