The position of Head Start/Early Head Start Part-Time Cook is responsible for the operation and function of the kitchen in adherence to health and food safety codes as well as CACFP, Head Start Federal Standards and State Minimum Standards. A strong food service program is important in supporting the goals of the program. This position is responsible for ordering, preparing, serving and documentation of meals and snacks. It includes following menus and all phases of kitchen operations including inventory control. This position is also responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and functional kitchen.
