About The Position

Penske Media Corporation (PMC) is hiring a Janitorial team that takes pride in delivering exceptional service, even in the smallest details, for our new offices in West LA. The new PMC offices have been thoughtfully designed to incorporate energy efficiencies that maximize the use of natural resources, decreasing our impact on the environment. The Day Porter position requires individuals with a strong background in cleaning and janitorial services. We are seeking someone who is passionate about cleanliness and takes pride in creating an immaculate environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in floor care and commercial cleaning. Additionally, experience in industrial cleaning, facilities maintenance, and porter duties will be beneficial for this role. The janitorial worker will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment in various PMC facilities, ensuring that all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Work Schedule: Monday to Friday: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM

Requirements

Experience: 2–5 years of prior janitor, cleaner, or porter experience.
Safety: Must be reliable and have experience working with cleaning chemicals.
Independence: Must be a team player and able to work with little supervision.
Professionalism: Excellent time management skills and a strong work ethic are required.
Physicality: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and be able to stand for an 8-hour shift.

Nice To Haves

Skills: Light maintenance knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

Cleaning: Perform routine cleaning and upkeep tasks to ensure PMC properties remain spotless and hygienic. From immaculate offices and polished hallways to well-maintained restrooms and common spaces, your attention to detail will help maintain our high standards.
Safety: Identify and rectify potential safety risks, such as slippery floors or blocked pathways, to safeguard the well-being of both staff and visitors. Promptly report any maintenance issues to the appropriate team members for swift resolution.
Efficiency: Swiftly and effectively carry out cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and cleaning windows—while adhering to set guidelines and schedules. Your time management skills will help keep operations running smoothly.
Customer Service: Develop positive connections with employees through approachable and professional communication. Address their requests and concerns with promptness and courtesy, ensuring their satisfaction and fostering a strong sense of community.
Waste Management: Keep the facility clean by quickly removing trash, debris, and recyclables from designated areas. Ensure all waste is disposed of properly, following recycling and environmental standards.
Teamwork: Work closely with fellow team members, including maintenance crews and property managers, to fulfill staff requests and support various tasks as required. Foster a collaborative spirit to promote a cohesive and productive work atmosphere.
