About The Position

Position at JBS USA DC Maintenance Tech Division/Department: Pork Location: Marshalltown Job title: Maintenance Technician – Distribution Center Internal applicants must have less than 3 attendance points in order to apply Hours: Flexible 12 Hours Rotating D ays Hours: Flexible Type of position: Full-time General Description: Work closely with maintenance and production supervisors as well as other on site management team members to promote efficiency and teamwork in the DC Maintenance department and within the JBS Marshalltown facility. Attend meetings as scheduled, called or requested. Exemplify safety, efficiency and productivity of DC maintenance workers; assist maintenance supervisors with training of employees. Work to properly determine causes of delays in maintenance related situations and take appropriate actions to help meet production schedules (on time delivery). Work within company employee relations and union contract policies at all times. Monitor machinery, equipment and facilities to ensure all are properly maintained and sanitized prior to use. Arrange to have appropriate maintenance records prepared and maintained to assist in determining root causes after breakdown events. Perform various other duties as needed or assigned.

Requirements

  • Above average electrical skills in industrial maintenance environment
  • Above average computer based controls skills in industrial maintenance environment
  • Above average mechanical skills in industrial maintenance environment
  • 3 to 5 years’ industrial maintenance experience
  • Supervisory skills
  • Good interpersonal relations
  • Ability to handle conflict professionally
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to speak multiple languages beneficial
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Technical College certificate, degree or equivalent
  • College experience recommended.
