Deal Desk Analyst
About The Position
Ichor Systems is looking for a highly analytical Estimator to join our team and support the development of competitive quotes and cost estimates for customer programs and new product opportunities. Reporting to the Sr Estimating Manager, this role works cross-functionally with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Sales to evaluate material requirements, manufacturing processes, and pricing models. Success in this position requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical documentation in a fast-paced environment. This is an on-site position at our Austin, TX location.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of Quoting or equivalent work experience
- B.S. or equivalent work experience or any combination of education and experience
- Experience with multi-level bills of material in the Semi-conductor industry, preferably Gas Delivery Systems
- Experience reading/using/understanding Engineering prints/drawings/documents
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills including but not limited to Vlookups, Pivot Tables, VBA
- Excellent analytical and mathematics skills
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Solid Knowledge of MRP, Oracle and Agile systems
Responsibilities
- Quote and prepare competitive bids for orders and new projects
- Prepares Quotes and Cost Estimates
- Apply pricing standards/models to costs
- Work with Engineering / Manufacturing to determine material requirements and manufacturing processes needed to complete quotes/orders
- Work with Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, and/or other departments to determine methods and pricing for new products
- Maintain effective contact with customers
- Provide input and feedback on issues relevant to customer programs
- Work independently with moderate supervision
