About The Position

Tidal Basin Group is a nationally recognized emergency management and consulting firm. We are expanding our Debris Services team and seeking dedicated Debris Monitors to support disaster recovery operations. This role is responsible for onsite monitoring of debris removal activities to ensure compliance with FEMA, state, and local requirements.

Requirements

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work outdoors in difficult conditions (extreme temperatures, inclement weather, humidity, disaster-affected areas) for extended hours.
Ability to follow safety procedures, protocols and work instructions at all times.
Ability to pass a drug screen, motor vehicle records check, and background check.
Valid State Driver's License
Proof of auto insurance (Valid Insurance Card)
A reliable and dependable vehicle for following trucks
A cellular phone with a charger
High school diploma or GED preferred.

Nice To Haves

Previous debris monitoring or disaster response experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor debris loading and hauling operations in assigned work zones.
Verify that contractors collect only eligible debris from public rights-of-way in accordance with established guidelines.
Accurately complete load tickets, logs, and related documentation to support FEMA reimbursement.
Ensure safe and compliant loading practices, including proper truck capacity and debris securement.
Report safety hazards, damages, or non-compliant activities to supervisors in a timely manner.
Maintain professional conduct when interacting with residents, contractors, and local officials.
