About The Position
Sul Ross State University, a member of NCAA Division II and the Lone Star Conference, is seeking applicants for the position of Defensive Coordinator. This position is responsible for the leadership and development of the defensive unit, including coaching, recruiting, compliance, and student-athlete development.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all defensive operations including scheme, installation, and play-calling.
- Develop weekly game plans and scouting reports.
- Coach a defensive position group.
- Recruit and evaluate student-athletes.
- Supervise defensive staff.
- Ensure NCAA and conference compliance.
- Support academic success of student-athletes.
- Assist with travel, scheduling, and operations.
- Engage in fundraising and community outreach.
