About The Position

Under general supervision, performs a variety of duties related to the deli department and assists in fulfilling customer orders at the deli counter with professional and efficient service. This will be be a part time evening/closing position, weekend availability will be required.

Requirements

• Demonstrates proper phone etiquette while taking orders/messages
• Ability to write legibly and read with comprehension at a level where it applies to this position

Responsibilities

• Operates a deli/cheese slicer
• Prepares, packages, and prices product as directed
• Assists customers with orders placed at deli counter
• Stocks and rotates merchandise as directed
• Maintains a current knowledge of product
• Provides assistance to meat and seafood departments as needed
• Provides excellent customer service
• Abides by Westborn Market’s time and attendance policy
• Maintains a clean and organized work area free of hazards
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
• Samples product at the direction of the department manager
