About The Position

American Welding & Gas is seeking a dynamic Delivery Driver / Counter Sales at
our Helena, MT branch. This position involves driving and delivering
plus responsibilities for helping customers purchase and order products focusing
on gases and welding/industrial supplies.

Driver Duties:

Provide cylinder and bulk deliveries, loading/unloading trucks.
Perform vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations (Hazmat, OSHA, DOT).
Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork.
Occasionally perform overnight trips.

Counter Sales Duties:

Assist walk-in customers with their needs and provide product information.
Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
Manage inventory levels and restock shelves as necessary.
Maintain a clean and organized sales counter area.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and
resolving issues promptly.
Assist in the preparation of quotes and orders for customers.
Ensure all sales and customer interactions are conducted in a professional
manner.

Requirements

• CDL Class B with Hazmat & Tanker endorsements.
• Clean driving record (3+ years).
• Ability to lift 75-100 pounds.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.).
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, Back Assessment, and company-administered road test.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers.

• Experience in sales or customer service is a plus.
