About The Position

PURPOSE: To attain goals and ensure effective operation of production systems within the agency while maintaining the loyalty and respect of the customer. To ensure that all work products are picked up and delivered according to customer needs. Program Specific Job Requirements: Responsible for all work product pickup and delivery. Ensure that all work product pickup and deliveries are met according to customer and agency requirements. Ensure the quality of final work product meets the customer’s satisfaction. Assist with work set-up and flow on an as-needed basis. Load and unload items at Customer location provided by Manager. Comply with and ensure the efficient operation of all safety systems. Obtain receipts from Warehouse manager and return them signed by dock supervisor on site. Maintain cleanliness of agency vehicles. Interact with co-workers, supervisory and administrative staff in a courteous manner that encourages a positive and cooperative work environment and in a way that promotes a positive image of the Agency and the people it serves. Immediately report any emergency situations or potential safety hazards to the supervisor, as well as information obtained that may affect the health, safety and/or services for a person. Review and comply with all Agency policies, procedures and directives. Maintain appropriate dress, good hygiene and professional behavior and conduct that reflects positively on the agency’s mission and the people it serves. Be willing and able to work flexible hours on occasion based on need. Possess a positive driving record and safe, reliable automobile for routine transportation of people receiving services and for other work functions, sufficient to meet all applicable legal and insurance requirements. Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, effective goal setting and implementation, and creative and effective problem solving skills.
Must be able to perform basic truck maintenance, such as refueling, doing visual inspections and reporting potential issues to Warehouse Manager.
Must follow ALL traffic laws, DOT regulations and best practices for safety when making deliveries.
Must be able to follow delivery driving routes and time schedules.
Must be able to use warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallets.
Must be able to provide excellent customer service and represent agency.
Must have a minimum of one year experience in driving 26-foot box truck
Must have experience in warehousing and prioritizing workload
Florida driver license and good driving record
Must be able to pass Level II Background Clearance Check
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening
Must have reliable transportation to and from work

Nice To Haves

CPR and Basic First Aid Certification (may be acquired through employee in-service training)
Must have or be able to obtain (through agency) Forklift Certification
Demonstrated knowledge of warehousing and production, coordinating workload required.
