The Delivery Truck Driver (Non-CDL) provides excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries of customer orders while operating medium-duty CMV vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) between 10,001 and 26,000 pounds. This position involves local deliveries (intrastate) within the State of Florida. No overnight or long-haul travel is required. Our drivers must always drive safely and be professional and courteous when speaking with customers.

Requirements

  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with company and insurance carrier standards
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (Medical Card)
  • Must meet and maintain compliance with all applicable Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) and Florida state requirements for intrastate CMV drivers
  • Experience safely operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack
  • Be organized, detail-oriented, accurate and adaptable to warehouse environments
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Position may require early mornings, evenings, weekends, and working in outdoor weather conditions as business needs dictate.
  • Must comply with FMCSA drug and alcohol testing requirements, including pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion testing.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • 2 years driving or equivalent experience preferred
  • Demonstrated commitment to safe driving practices and accident prevention
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating vehicles equipped with air brake systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Map delivery routes to ensure timely pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Drive medium-duty CMV vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) between 10,001 and 26,000 pounds to pick up and deliver air cargo equipment and products
  • Acts as a customer service liaison between ACL Airshop and the site customer
  • Perform visual inspections of air cargo equipment during pick up
  • Obtain signatures or warehouse scans to confirm complete pick-ups or deliveries
  • Maintain hours of service logs and pre/post trip inspection procedures
  • Communicate with Station Operations and customers as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and appearance of delivery vehicle; performs routine vehicle service as needed (refuel, check tire pressure, etc.)
  • Adhere to company rules and regulations
  • Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions
  • Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices to prevent injury to self or others
  • Assist with general warehouse duties at the station, including upkeep of facility, scanning the equipment in/out, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
