Your Role at Baxter The Clinical Center of Excellence Demo Team Specialist plays a key role in representing the company’s portfolio of medical technology solutions — including hospital beds, stretchers, clinical furniture, nurse call systems, connectivity platforms, rental and safe patient handling equipment — to customers, partners, and internal teams. This position supports national sales and clinical education initiatives through expert product demonstrations, solution integration guidance, and best-practice presentations. As part of the Clinical Center of Excellence (CoE), this individual helps develop and perform high-impact demonstrations, clinical simulations, and training programs. These activities showcase the organization’s value in improving patient outcomes, caregiver safety, and operational efficiency. This is where we save and sustain lives! Requirements

  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technology into clinical and operational value.
  • High level of professionalism and confidence when interacting with healthcare leaders and clinicians.
  • High degree of learning agility and technical ability to describe advantages of product portfolio and demonstrate the details of competitive equipment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems; experience with digital presentation tools is a plus.
  • Ability to travel nationally up to 75% of the time
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent clinical or technical experience considered.
  • 2 years in medical device sales support, clinical education, or product demonstration within the healthcare industry.
  • Strong understanding of hospital operations, clinical workflows, and patient safety standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with capital equipment, connectivity systems, or methods for ensuring patient handling safety strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional, interactive demonstrations of our medical technology solutions to healthcare customers, including executives, clinicians, and biomedical staff.
  • Tailor demonstrations to specific customer needs, healthcare processes, and hospital environments.
  • Support the sales organization by participating in strategic customer visits, tradeshows, sales trainings, and activities hosted by the CoE.
  • Maintain in-depth product knowledge and effectively communicate clinical, operational, and financial benefits.
  • Collaborate with the CoE leadership team to ensure that all demo environments reflect current product offerings and best-in-class clinical scenarios.
  • Partner with the Clinical Expertise Hub and Sales Training teams to facilitate hands-on product education for internal staff and external customers.
  • Support onboarding and continued development of new sales, marketing, and clinical associates through CoE-based learning programs.
  • Provide feedback to Product Management, R&D, and Marketing on user experience, feature enhancements, and clinical insights gained from demos and field interactions.
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Clinical, and Service teams to align messaging, product positioning, and demonstration strategies.
  • Contributes to the development of demonstration scripts, visual materials, playbooks and standard operating procedures.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for select product categories, offering mentorship and technical support to colleagues.
  • Find opportunities to enhance the customer experience through innovative demo techniques and emerging technologies (e.g., VR, AR, digital connectivity).
  • Participate in CoE projects aimed at advancing organizational excellence, clinical outcomes, and market differentiation.
