About The Position

This is a full-time position working Tuesday-Friday (4-10's). Weekly earned wage access is an option for this position. Job Purpose or Objective(s): As the Dental Assistant 1, you will merge clerical tasks with hands-on clinical support for dentists in providing dental services per the regulations set by the Oklahoma State Board of Dentistry. You will interpret orders, manage requests, and coordinate patient appointments. The Dental Assistant 1 assists with clinic administrative tasks and ensures consistent patient care by ensuring availability. You will report to the Dental Office Manager. Primary Tasks: Maintain general cleanliness and asepsis of CNHSA Dental Clinic. Assist the dentist during procedures, ensuring instruments, equipment, and materials are prepared and set up. Sterilize and disinfect instruments, prepare trays for procedures and cleanings, and maintain dental equipment’s functionality. Restock and rotate dental supplies to maintain clinical compliance. Schedule appointments and input accurate patient visit information in electronic dental record. Welcome patients to treatment chair, record their medical and dental histories, vital signs, and ensure their comfort throughout their visit. Perform supportive tasks, including but not limited to patient education, radiographs, and preparing restorative materials. Adhere to accepted policy and standards of the facility and other regulatory agencies. Transport prescriptions to the pharmacy when necessary. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Dental Assistant Permit through the Oklahoma Board of Dentistry within 30 days of hire
  • IHS Radiology Certificate within 1 year of hire
  • BLS Certification within 30 days of hire
  • Obtain radiology certificate to meet Oklahoma Dental Board requirements within 30 days of hire
