About The Position
Jungle Roots Children’s Dentistry & Orthodontics is seeking a caring and energetic Dental Assistant to join our fun, pediatric dental team in Ahwatukee, Phoenix. Our practice has proudly served families with gentle, high-quality dental and orthodontic care for decades, creating positive visits for kids in a welcoming, jungle-themed environment that helps children feel comfortable and confident at the dentist. Requirements
- Previous dental assisting experience preferred (pediatric experience a plus)
- Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and materials
- Strong communication and patient-care skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Positive attitude, patience, and comfort working with children and families
- Team members are expected to uphold the culture outlined in the SDB Handbook, with a focus on our core values and any additional responsibilities as defined.

Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures and patient visits
- Prepare and break down treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean clinical environment
- Take dental X-rays, impressions, and assist with charting as needed
- Provide patient education to children and parents on oral hygiene and preventive care
- Help children feel comfortable and supported, creating a positive experience for every visit
- Maintain accurate patient records and support the overall team workflow
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
