Schedule : Monday & Wednesday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Tuesday & Thursday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm Friday 8:00 am - 1:00 pm MoreSMILES Dental Spa is looking for an experienced, organized, and patient-focused Dental Office Manager to lead the team and help create an exceptional experience for every patient who walks through our doors. This is a leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands dental operations, and knows how to motivate a team while keeping systems running smoothly. Within the SDP affiliated network of dental practices, the Dental Office Manager (OM) is responsible for monitoring and managing the operations of a single location. The OM will focus on executing numerous operational tasks in their dental practice with the goal of enhancing practice level efficiencies and growth in conjunction with the SDP support team and the primary dentist of the practice. The OM works closely with the Regional Director of Operations (RDO) to drive a positive team culture and achieve positive practice results. Requirements

  • 5 years of dental office management experience required
  • Proficient in dental performance management software (Dentrix or Denticon)
  • Strong understanding of marketing strategies, platforms, tools and metrics
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite of applications (Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Word)
  • Solid understanding of P&L management (budgeting)
  • Comprehensive understanding and ability to enforce current labor and state dental laws
  • Adhere to current regulatory agency guidelines (OSHA, HIPAA, CDC, etc.)
  • Ability to maintain a full-time employment schedule at a minimum 40 hours per week; extended hours may be requested or required
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • Prolonged sitting and standing as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Exposure to potentially hazardous objects and/or materials
  • Ability to wear appropriate work attire as needed or required

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily front office operations and clinical team performance
  • Manage scheduling, patient flow, and office efficiency
  • Monitor key performance metrics, profit and production goals
  • Lead morning huddles and team communications
  • Ensure outstanding patient service and experiences
  • Coordinate with doctors and clinical team to keep schedules optimized
  • Handle insurance, billing oversight, and financial discussions when needed
  • Train and support front office team members
  • Team leadership, coaching and training
  • Profit & Loss (P&L) management
  • Staff and patient scheduling
  • Time & Attendance (T&A) management
  • Payroll process management
  • Accounts Payable (AP) management
  • Manage insurance claims and other forms of payment
  • Patient satisfaction and experience
  • Collaborate on internal and external marketing efforts
  • Implement policies and procedures
  • Promote SDP company policies and best practices (published or otherwise communicated)
  • Management of dental licenses and other related certifications
  • Maintain current safety procedures and personal protective equipment required to minimize health risks
  • Other job duties as assigned
