About The Position

The Deployment Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the successful delivery and implementation of software and technology solutions within the organization. This position is responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure deployments are executed efficiently, on schedule, and meet quality standards. The Deployment Manager acts as the primary liaison between development, operations, and client stakeholders to manage expectations and resolve any issues that arise during deployment cycles. By establishing and refining deployment processes, this role ensures minimal disruption to business operations and maximizes system reliability. Ultimately, the Deployment Manager drives continuous improvement in deployment strategies to support the organization's growth and technological advancement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in deployment management, release management, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and deployment methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deployments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate cross-functional teams effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with automation tools like Jenkins, Ansible, or Terraform.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master).
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices and change management processes.
  • Experience working in the services industry or with client-facing deployment projects.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate software and system deployments across multiple environments.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, operations, and client teams to ensure readiness and alignment for deployment activities.
  • Monitor deployment progress, identify risks or issues, and implement mitigation strategies promptly.
  • Develop and maintain deployment documentation, including runbooks, checklists, and post-deployment reports.
  • Lead post-deployment reviews to capture lessons learned and drive process improvements.
  • Manage communication with stakeholders to provide timely updates and manage expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements during deployments.
