Under the direction of the City Recorder, the Deputy Recorder performs statutory and administrative duties in support of the Recorder's Office, with primary responsibility for GRAMA compliance, municipal code maintenance and codification, and public records management. This position also coordinates assigned boards and commissions, manages the City's official social media accounts, produces the monthly City newsletter, and assists with special projects as needed. The Deputy Recorder plays a key role in ensuring transparency, legal compliance, and accurate public communication. Serves as a backup for the Customer Service Clerk, processes payments for utilities, building permits, and dog licenses, creates deposits and uploads banking files, and assists customers with accounting questions and billing information.
