About The Position

The Deputy Circuit Clerk is responsible for Circuit Court records and maintaining accurate data for the Court, law-enforcement agencies, state agencies and general public’s use of these records. Deputy Circuit Clerk will be responsible for the processing of all court related documents that are received: by mail, electronically, and across the service counter for the Circuit Court of Benton County. At the same time, being able to assist in other tasks such as: data entry, answering questions, making certified copies for legal purposes and resolving problems from customers over the telephone or in person. Deputy Circuit Clerk must process documents according to the rules of the Supreme Court, AR State Statutes and office policies. Must be able to work efficiently, timely and remain professional in all situations as this is a very time sensitive and fast paced position. Will be subject to assisting the Circuit Clerk in jury trials and other Court matters. Will be responsible for daily receipts of services rendered and balancing of said funds.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous customer service experience required
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and deadline-oriented
  • Knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel
  • Ability to concentrate for periods of time and perform accurately with adequate speed
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to keep sensitive information confidential
