RECRUITING FOR 2 POSITIONS The Office of the Clerk of Superior Court, Iredell County, is seeking two (2) qualified individuals to serve in the position of Deputy Clerk, Criminal Division, in the legal system of North Carolina. Criminal Deputy Clerks perform specialized clerical and administrative work in a Clerk of Superior Court office that involves processing criminal cases. In the Criminal Division work may involve processing only one phase of a criminal case such as the initial filing, continuances or judgments for one or more areas of criminal district court cases (misdemeanors, infractions, and appeals from magistrate court), or superior court cases (felonies or appeals from district court). Work involves providing information to the public, attorneys, law enforcement, and others on criminal forms and procedures, establishing and maintaining hard copy and electronic files, and reviewing and processing documents related to assigned cases. New hires may be paid above the minimum rate depending on education and experience in a North Carolina Clerk of Superior Court office.
