Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical environment is valuable.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, particularly related to dermatology.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective patient interaction.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail, especially in a busy clinic setting.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard office software applications is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs and comprehensive medical histories.
  • Assist physicians during procedures and examinations, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and manage specimen collection and preparation.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with healthcare regulations.
  • Coordinate scheduling of patient appointments and facilitate effective office communication.
  • Educate patients about their treatment plans, medications, and effective skincare practices.
  • Ensure that examination rooms are clean, organized, and adequately stocked with medical supplies.
