Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a related clinical role is desirable.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, particularly in dermatology.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic office software is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for exams by measuring vital signs and documenting medical histories.
  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures with all necessary instruments and equipment.
  • Conduct basic laboratory tests and handle specimen preparation for laboratory analysis.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Manage patient appointment scheduling and ensure effective communication within the office.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medication instructions, and skincare routines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms, ensuring they are fully stocked with necessary supplies.
