About The Position

The brand develops both commercial men’s apparel and streetwear-inspired collections, requiring someone who understands modern fit, fabrication, construction, and trend direction. This is a full-time, in-office position offering strong growth potential within a fast-moving product development environment.An emerging men’s private label and branded brand is expanding its design team and seeking a Design Assistant with strong technical skills and a sharp eye for men’s fashion. This role is perfect for someone with foundational industry experience who is ready to take the next step toward becoming a full designer.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of apparel design experience (men’s apparel preferred; private label experience highly valued)
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Strong understanding of garment construction and technical design
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through
• Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of both commercial men’s product and streetwear aesthetics
• Able to work in office 5 days a week, this is a non - negotiable

Responsibilities

• Create detailed CADs, colorways, and technical sketches using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Assist with garment specifications and measurement charts
• Update and maintain tech packs throughout product development
• Support fittings by taking detailed notes and revising specs accordingly
• Track samples from prototype through TOP stage
• Maintain organized seasonal development materials, line sheets, and design files
• Assist with fabric sourcing, trims, and wash development
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product development and production teams
