About The Position

A design lead is an expert in creating visually appealing, functional, and user-centric designs across various fields, such as, but not limited to: graphic design, product design, packaging design, and/or web design. Their role involves understanding client needs, conceptualizing ideas, and transforming them into practical and aesthetically pleasing solutions.

Requirements

• Highly proficient in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator.
• Strong understanding of fashion styling and retail industry trends.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and innovate.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally within a team.
• Strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and process.
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Fashion Design or related field
• 2+ years professional experience in graphic design/production; preferably within the fashion industry
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to work in a remote setting.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Effective verbal and written communication to interact with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage schedules, and maintain a structured work environment.
• Meticulous focus on accuracy and thoroughness in completing tasks.
• Efficiently planning and managing one's workload to meet deadlines.
• Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and situations.
• Identifying issues, analyzing options, and finding solutions.
• Expertise in relevant software like Microsoft Office Suite, email systems, and project management tools.
• Providing excellent support and assistance to internal and external clients.
• Maintaining privacy and discretion when handling sensitive information.
• Effectively managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Job requires being honest and ethical.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of tech packs, packaging, and fonts/typography a plus.
• Sketching/ hand-drawn skills a plus
• Enthusiastic and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Creating and mocking up designs from concept through the finished product using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other design software.
• Versatility to create looks for several different clients in the same season.
• Develop packaging files for a wide array of products, while maintaining company's packaging standards & guidelines.
• Collaborate with Production confirming designs, tech packs, and any other necessary details.
• Assist in design tasks from other departments (Marketing, Sales, Production, etc.) when needed.
• Maintain company standards across all designs.
• Manage deadlines in accordance with the company calendar.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor as the company retains the right to change duties to this position.
