About the Internship: We are seeking a Summer Design Intern to join our Time to Shine Internship Program at Fossil Group HQ in Richardson, TX. This paid, hands-on program is designed for those who are eager to gain real-world design experience while contributing to meaningful product initiatives. Throughout the program, you’ll gain exposure to concept development, product design, prototyping, and cross-functional collaboration—while learning how design brings Fossil products to life for consumers around the world.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Design, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Fashion Design, or a related field
  • At least 18 years old by the start of the program
  • Excited to work in-person at Fossil Group HQ in Richardson, TX (Mon–Thurs onsite, Fri remote)
  • Strong creative and visual design skills with attention to detail
  • Proficient Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop required, Indesign preferred), Sketching and Visual Communication, Design Fundamentals
  • Able to communicate design ideas clearly and thoughtfully
  • Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple projects
  • Passionate about design, trends, and craftsmanship

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with 3D tools is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Support Design teams on real-world projects related to product, graphic, or brand design
  • Assist with concept development, sketches, mood boards, color palettes, and material exploration
  • Help prepare design presentations, line plans, and creative decks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Merchandising, Product Development, Marketing, and Sourcing
  • Support seasonal design processes from ideation through execution
  • Partner with a dedicated mentor for creative guidance, feedback, and professional development
  • Participate in workshops, lunch & learns, and panel discussions to build design and business knowledge
  • Present a capstone project to Fossil leadership at the end of the program
  • Bring fresh ideas, creativity, and a strong visual point of view to collaborative team projects
