Responsibilities include network maintenance; computer software and hardware installation; problem identification, resolution and reporting; information integrity and security; and the interpretation of user documentation and procedures. Timely and efficient management of issues including the evaluation, prioritization, escalation, resolution and tracking of issues from employee requests for assistance.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Information Technology
  • CompTIA A+ MCP or MCSE certifications
  • Cisco CCNA or equivalent
  • Minimum two years of direct work experience in an IT support capacity
  • Ability to diagnose problems, perform repairs on IT assets, and provide support for a wide range of applications
  • Able to quickly analyze issues and determine best course of action using available resources
  • Sound judgment to escalate issues to senior members within the IT organization
  • Knowledge of IT management software tools
  • High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to explain technical concepts and theories to non-technical audiences
  • Knowledge of computer workstation setup
  • Exceptional multi-tasking abilities and prioritization skills
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Team player able to work under pressure

Responsibilities

  • Install technology and security related equipment and software.
  • Provide support and basic training to employees on the use of applications.
  • Install, maintain and provide troubleshooting support for organizational technical, security and communication systems and programs.
  • Resolve end-user IT incidents, such as password reset, software questions, PC hardware problems, Internet connectivity, configurations etc.
  • Provide one-on-one end-user support and problem resolution by phone, e-mail, and other vehicles of communication.
  • Identify trends and trouble spots to conduct proactive maintenance or repairs.
  • Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Implement technical changes with the least disruption to the organization.
  • Assist in maintaining and developing the credit union’s technical support and configuration documentation.
  • Execute projects and tasks within established timeframes and requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Actively participate in meetings, planning and training initiatives, sharing information and ideas to build organizational achievement and success.
  • Maintain open communication and cooperation with staff to ensure a friendly and efficient work environment.
  • Ensure and maintain the appropriate level of security needed to protect the integrity and security of the credit union’s electronic data.
  • Maintain confidentiality when dealing with requests and information.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of credit union policies and procedures on risk management, security and fraud prevention.
  • Observe all credit union policies and security requirements for privacy, safeguarding information, frauds, forgeries and holdup procedures.
