About The Position

We are seeking a Dev Ops Engineer - Mid to join our team supporting the FBI’s Operational Technology Division. Designs, implements, and sustains the infrastructure and automation frameworks that support the FBI Multimedia Exploitation Unit’s application ecosystem. Enables continuous integration, deployment, and operation of scalable, secure, and highly available systems across hybrid cloud and on premises environments supporting mission critical forensic and multimedia processing platforms. Drives reliability, performance, and security of development and operational environments, ensuring seamless integration across enterprise services, data pipelines, and distributed systems within both classified and unclassified networks. This contract supports a government agency's capability to ingest, process, and analyze massive volumes of digital evidence into actionable intelligence. The program drives full lifecycle development, from building scalable applications and forensic tools to integrating enterprise services and maintaining hybrid cloud and classified infrastructure. The work ensures users can securely access, review, and collaborate on evidence in real time. This strengthens national security and investigative outcomes by combining advanced analytics, cloud technologies, and Agile delivery to give investigators faster, more reliable insight into complex digital evidence. Requirements

  • Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Sensitive Compartmented Information access required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 6 years of experience as a DevOps engineer.
  • Experience supporting DevOps or infrastructure engineering in enterprise environments.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud architectures.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools and configuration management practices.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, including identity management, encryption, and system hardening.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI CD pipelines using modern automation tools.
  • Experience with system monitoring, logging, and performance tuning.
  • Understanding of networking, virtualization, and storage systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues.
  • Experience supporting government or law enforcement systems.

Responsibilities

  • Builds, configures, and maintains cloud and on premises infrastructure supporting application development, testing, and production environments.
  • Implements and manages containerization and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes to support scalable and resilient application deployment.
  • Develops and maintains CI CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring rapid and reliable software delivery.
  • Supports hybrid cloud environments, including commercial cloud platforms and government hosted infrastructure, ensuring system interoperability and performance.
  • Manages virtual machines, storage systems, and network configurations across cloud and on premises environments.
  • Implements monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to maintain system health, availability, and performance.
  • Ensures infrastructure and applications comply with federal cybersecurity requirements, including encryption, access control, and continuous monitoring.
  • Automates infrastructure provisioning and configuration using infrastructure as code methodologies.
  • Collaborates with software developers, engineers, and stakeholders to integrate applications into the enterprise ecosystem and resolve operational issues.
  • Supports deployment and maintenance of systems across multiple environments, including development networks, operational platforms, and classified environments.
  • Participates in Agile development processes, contributing to sprint planning, system improvements, and continuous delivery initiatives.
  • Provides technical documentation, operational support, and troubleshooting for infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
