About The Position

The Developer, RCM Technology and Transformation is responsible for creating automation specifically around robotic process automation (RPA). They will serve as the principal person responsible for development, testing, generating audit functions and monitoring.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of healthcare revenue cycle analysis or 2 years of automation technology experience.
  • Experience using automation software (Automation Anywhere, UI Path, etc)
  • Experience and extensive knowledge of SQL and MS Excel
  • Strong, demonstrated knowledge of internal controls and best business practices
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and written/verbal communication skills required.
  • High degree of integrity, trust and confidentiality required
  • Ability to initiate work and fulfill responsibilities independently

Nice To Haves

  • Educational or some experience with automation or concepts or Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
  • Understanding of overall Revenue Cycle Process: Intake & Reimbursement
  • Familiarity with Medicaid, Medicare and Commercial Payer reimbursement requirements
  • Educational or some experience developing automation, machine learning or traditional software applications.

Responsibilities

  • Most of the development time will be in the creation of new robotic automation processes using automation software (Automation Anywhere), and ancillary tools like SQL and some python/VB where applicable for custom automation functions.
  • Extensive knowledge and proficiency with the UI of applications, of which automation is controlling, will be critical. This includes a proficient knowledge of the underlying database of the UI and its relationships to produce effective SQL.
  • Strong adherence to internal controls and processes related to the software development lifecycle.
  • Strong internal and external department communication skills working toward one goal (e.g. technology, RCM and patient administration teams). This includes monitoring bots in process, making sure they stay ‘on-line’ and making necessary in-time adjustments to ensure the bot is performing to the standard of how it was designed.
  • Designing and implementing reporting for field use, quality, and effectiveness of processes.
