About The Position
The INFOPS Application Development team delivers and supports on-prem and cloud platforms that power our custom application development organization. These highly available platforms support internal users and external customers around the globe. Our team operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a strong emphasis on DevOps, partnering with stakeholders to provide secure, reliable, and high-performing platforms that are simple to consume. We are seeking a midlevel Developer to join a talented group of developers and engineers who share a passion for technology, continuous learning, and delivering enterprise-grade solutions. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of development experience, is open to diverse perspectives, and enjoys working collaboratively to deliver the best outcomes for our customers, business, and team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience with JavaScript and Node.js
- Experience with GitHub, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Experience with Linux/Unix and shell scripting
- Familiarity with microservices, Twelve Factor app principles, and cloud native development
- Strong Linux administration skills
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative work environments
- Strong test first mindset
- Ability to analyze requirements and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Team-oriented with strong work ethic and collaboration skills
- Strong problem-solving, change management, and technical planning abilities
- Passion for learning new technologies

Responsibilities
- Develop applications and services that integrate with platform technologies such as Apache Solr, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle, RabbitMQ, and other components deployed on Kubernetes.
- Assist in developing and maintaining deployment orchestration tools and automation workflows.
- Build and maintain internal libraries and SDKs that simplify the consumption of platform services.
- Refactor and enhance applications as platform requirements evolve, with a focus on efficiency, reliability, and maintainability.
- Work with Kubernetes-based platforms and gain familiarity with K8s concepts, operators, and controllers.
- Support system engineering activities, including platform lifecycle tasks, troubleshooting, and basic administration, ticket queue, on-call rotation, and monthly maintenance windows.
- Participate in managing and maintaining components such as Solr, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, GitHub, Jenkins, and Codefresh.
- Collaborate with team members to understand platform architecture and contribute to solutions that align with WWT best practices.
- Learn and become increasingly self-sufficient in the team’s product portfolio and platform offerings.
- Work with customers to understand integration needs and contribute to engineering solutions based on business requirements.
- Collaborate with partner engineering teams to help drive efficiencies across the organization.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities, balancing support work, ad hoc requests, and project deliverables.
- Maintain strong documentation and actively contribute to team knowledge sharing.
