If you are passionate about being integral to reaching kids with the gospel, join us, and become a part of our global cause.  Summary At our ministry, we are passionate about forming lasting faith in every child, everywhere!  As the Development Coordinator on our Donor Development team, you will play a vital, integrative role in advancing our organization’s donor development strategy of exceptional donor care. You will facilitate and serve as a primary support between donors and the Development team, ensuring donor needs are met with excellence and timeliness. You will also enhance the effectiveness of the Development team by coordinating administrative processes, equipping team members with tools and information, and providing direct executive support to the Chief Development Officer (CDO).  Reporting to the CDO and working closely with Development team leadership, you will thrive in this role if you are gifted in relational intelligence and administration, and are adaptable, organized with a high attention to detail, able to successfully balance multiple priorities, a problem-solver committed to excellence, and have a heart for mission work that directly impacts the lives of children and youth around the world.   We’re seeking someone who views administrative support work not just as a series of tasks, but as vital ministry work and a way to utilize God’s gifting on your life.     In this full-time, salaried position, you will have the opportunity to work both in our office in St. Charles, IL 1-2 days per week, and from home the remaining days.  You may also have the opportunity to travel occasionally as well. Hiring Range for this position is: $45,000 to $50,000.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience providing administrative support, preferably in a Christian ministry environment. 
  • Experience making US-based travel arrangements.
  • Self-starter, able to work independently, with initiative and reliability.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple tasks, calendars and logistics.
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Intermediate Google Suite skills, required.
  • Demonstrated warm and professional etiquette in interactions and writing.
  • Ability to anticipate and follow through on ministry needs. 
  • Valid State driver’s license.  
  • Eligibility to work in the United States is required; this position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.
  • Willingness and ability to perform other reasonable duties as ministry needs occur.
  • Must be a born-again Christian.
  • Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
  • Must be in agreement with the Awana Doctrinal Statement.
  • Must be in fellowship with the body of Christ through a local church.
  • Regularly engages in reading the Holy Bible as a guide and standard for living.

Nice To Haves

  • College coursework from an accredited college or university, preferred.  
  • General understanding of the Bible and the Christian Church in its various expressions, preferred.
  • Experience with Awana Club, curriculum, resources, & solutions is a plus! 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a frontline liaison to support donor needs, inquiries, and requests with professionalism and warmth.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely acknowledgment, reporting, and follow-up.
  • Help track and organize donor information, notes, and action steps in CRM systems.
  • Assist in preparing donor reports, impact summaries, and customized communications.
  • Ensure related data accuracy and integrity.
  • Coordinate and execute mailings, proposal packets, and stewardship materials.
  • Support major gifts team with resources and needs to streamline workflows.
  • Prepare meeting materials, briefing documents, and internal dashboards.
  • Maintain organized files, templates, contact lists, and shared resources.
  • Assist in preparing presentations and reports for leadership and board engagement.
  • Provide logistical support for donor events and internal strategy meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with the development team to support overall donor journey.
  • Support calendar scheduling, meeting coordination, and prioritization.
  • Assist in coordinating travel arrangements and itineraries.
  • Prepare and process expense reports and reimbursement documentation.
  • Track key follow-ups and commitments to ensure timely execution.
  • Provide administrative support for high-level donor meetings, visits, and strategic initiatives including communications, presentation preparation, and other related tasks
